This is the last edition of the Ford Escape, and it will not be made beyond the 2026 model year. This means there were only slight software updates to ensure the latest technology was on board.

Performance

The Ford Escape has two turbocharged EcoBoost engines. The standard 1.5-liter three-cylinder produces 180 horsepower with up to 27 MPG city and 34 MPG highway. The available 2.0-liter four-cylinder offers 250 horsepower and 23 MPG city, 31 MPG highway.

The Escape Hybrid offers a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a pair of electric motors for 192 horsepower, or 201 horsepower depending on the model you choose, and it's available in front- and all-wheel drive, with the plug-in option boasting 37 miles of EV driving range, and 42 MPG in the city.
